Homeschool Co-op
(2–3 Days / Week)
Bright Roots’ homeschool co-op is designed for families who value the freedom of homeschooling but want community, consistency, and meaningful hands-on learning.
Students attend 2 or 3 set days per week, building rhythm and belonging while spending their time engaged in real work and real learning.
Each week blends:
-
Project-based academics (reading, writing, math, science)
-
Outdoor learning through gardens, woods, and seasonal rhythms
-
Life skills like cooking, tool use, animal care, and teamwork
-
Collaborative projects that foster confidence and responsibility
This program offers the best of both worlds:
parent-led education at home, paired with a grounded learning community on the farm.
Best fit for:
Homeschooling families seeking structure, connection, and purposeful learning without full-time enrollment.

PreK-5th Grade
Launching in phases
Our full-time farm school builds on the same philosophy, offering a small, nurturing K–5 learning environment rooted in nature, responsibility, and curiosity.
Each day blends:
-
Core academics
-
Outdoor exploration and project work
-
Farm and garden stewardship
-
Creative and practical life skills
This program will launch intentionally and in phases, as facilities and enrollment allow, ensuring quality remains at the heart of everything we do.
Best fit for:
Families seeking a full-time alternative to traditional schooling that emphasizes depth over pace and connection over pressure.

Summer Camps
Summer and school break offerings
During the summer and select school breaks, Bright Roots comes alive with themed camps and short-term intensives.
Campers explore:
-
Gardening and harvesting
-
Animal care
-
Nature crafts and art
-
Outdoor skills and exploration
-
Team games and storytelling
These programs allow new families to experience Bright Roots while giving returning students a deeper seasonal connection to the land.
Best fit for:
All families looking for meaningful, screen-free experiences rooted in nature and community.

Our Story
Meet Us
Bright Roots Farm School grew from our family’s desire to give children a different kind of education—one that builds deep roots for life.
Rachel, a lifelong homeschooler and mother of four, felt the pull to create a learning environment where kids can explore with curiosity, build meaningful connections, and grow in confidence. She loved homeschooling, yet dreamed of a place where families could share that experience together—where education is part of everyday life on a farm.
Kyle, an entrepreneur and chiropractor, shared that dream. His passion for purposeful, hands-on learning led him to imagine a school where math, science, reading, and writing are intertwined with gardening, animal care, cooking, and real-world skills.
Together, we envisioned a school that feels like family: peaceful mornings, nature as the classroom, and strong values woven through every lesson. At Bright Roots, children aren’t rushed. They have space to discover, to work with their hands, and to grow in character—planting the kind of roots that help them stand strong in every season of life.
Bright Roots Farm School isn’t just where we teach. It’s how we live—side by side with the land, inviting children and families to join us in building a brighter, deeper foundation for learning and for life.

About the Farm
Bright Roots Farm School is growing on a beautiful 10-acre canvas in the Liberty Lake area, most likely off N Idaho Rd. While the final layout is still taking shape, our vision is clear: a vibrant, working farm where children can learn, play, and discover every day.
Imagine greenhouses filled with vegetables and flowers, a child-sized garden for planting and harvesting, shady trees for reading and storytelling, and open meadows alive with outdoor games. Small livestock—like gentle goats and chickens—bring the rhythms of real farm life to our daily lessons. Outdoor classrooms and cozy gathering spaces will let children explore science, math, and language in the fresh air, all year long.
Our plans include:
-
Greenhouse Classrooms for year-round hands-on science and growing projects.
-
Children’s Garden & CSA Plots where students plant, care for, and harvest their own crops.
-
Animal Care Areas with chickens, goats, and other small farm animals for learning responsibility and respect for living things.
-
Nature Play Spaces with trails, climbing logs, and wide-open meadows for free play and discovery.
-
Community Gathering Spaces that can host seasonal festivals, parent events, and summer camp celebrations.
While construction and planting will unfold in stages, we invite families to join us from the very beginning. Your children will help shape Bright Roots as it grows—planting seeds, building gardens, and creating traditions that last for generations.
Bright Roots Farm School isn’t just about buildings and fields. It’s about a living landscape where learning, community, and nature grow side by side.
